Volcano Whispering Lodge is a budget eco retreat just 40-minutes walk to the rim of the Mt Yasur volcano. With a fabulous treehouse perched fifty metres above the ground in the branches of a giant banyan tree and three simply furnished thatch and bamboo bungalows sharing two communal cold-water showers and toilets, this locally owned retreat makes a unique stay to explore the fascinating volcanic landscape. The restaurant serves simple home cooked food and has fabulous views towards forest clad mountains and it’s a twenty minute walk to a local custom village.
