Port Resolution Yacht Club Bungalows sit on a rocky cliff top overlooking the stunning bay of Port Resolution where Captain Cook anchored in 1774 and where overseas yachts visit between May and October.
The bungalows are a five minute walk to the traditional village of Irepow which fronts a gorgeous white sand beach, and it’s a one minute walk down the steep cliff trail to a tiny sandy cove swimming beach within Port Resolution. With a pleasant restaurant and bar popular with visitors, the Yacht Club Bungalows makes an interesting base for exploring the sites of East Tanna including Mt Yasur Volcano which is twenty minutes drive by 4WD.
Accommodation is in one of three wooden bungalows set on the point in a quiet wooded setting away from the restaurant all with simple interiors with foam mattress beds hung with a mosquito net and nautical designed decks directly overlooking the ocean. One of these bungalows has a small ensuite cold water bathroom. Three traditionally designed bamboo bungalows in a sandy area beside the restaurant share bathrooms but have a sink in the veranda.
